June 6-8 Top 10 list of our vacation to Dinosaur Land

Yes we headed out at the beginning of June to the metropolis of Vernal, Utah.  The kids had a good time but I don't think we will be returning anytime soon.  Here are the things we explored...

#1 Utah Field House Museum - since it was raining this was the perfect indoor place to go and we saw one of our favorite prehistoric animals the woolly mammoth.

#2 Digging for dinosaur bones

#3 Watching a movie about the fossils they have found in the area and seeing the fun wall they have made from them

#4 Seeing the glowing mineral rocks and buying our own bag of rocks (my kids are so into their rock collections)

#5 Swimming in a cold pool (notice mom and dad aren't in)

#6 Going to the movie Kung Fu Panda (I swear every kid in Vernal must have been there)

#7 Playing a search and find bingo game at the Daughters of Utah Pioneer Museum (Alex loved searching thru all of the old artifacts)

#8 Taking nightly walks to the Vernal Temple (President Hinckley was sure inspired to restore old tabernacles and bring temples to these small towns)

#9 Taking a hike to look for Indian Petroglyphs 

#10 Getting our picture taken with the pink dinosaur
