Our Silver Mountain Ski Trip

We headed to Kellogg, ID last week with my family for a Henderson annual ski trip. We flew to Spokane and then got the entire fam on a tour bus to make the drive to ID. We jokingly call it our Silver Mountain water park trip because I think we all enjoyed the water park more than the skiing. They had this amazing water park with something for everyone. Little kiddie areas for Kate, med. slides for Kirsten, and Alex loved the flow Rider and lazy river with his cousins. The problem we found with skiing was that 1st off you had to take a 25 minute Gondola ride just to get to the resort. You definitely had to be dedicated to ski for the entire day because it was a huge pain to make trips back and forth on the Gondola. We weren't too impressed with the kids lessons either and ended up only having them do it one day. We have just been spoiled in the past to be right at the base of the mountain and be able to go watch and help the kids. Even if you weren't skiing you still had to pay for your Gondola ride so I only skied with Alex one day. It was fun to get away with family and the kids love being with their cousins. We came home on Monday, Kirsten's birthday. I felt bad that we couldn't really make the day special for her. Our focus turned to Alex as he turned out to be sick that day. He threw up once at the airport, twice on the airplane and then two more times at home that night. Fun, fun, fun.

What a fun trip. I'm so impressed that you can get your whole family together for a fun activity like that. What memories you've made! It is awesome. I'm so sorry A was sick. What a bummer way to end the trip. Happy b-day K! You are quite the little lady!
